Understand what this lesson solves

Basic full lesson

Use PetNest's preview-theme investigation to separate installed, enabled, actually loaded, and leftover resources, then decide what to keep, freeze, validate, or clean without touching the published theme.

Connect markets, themes and apps, checkout, Flow, data fields, release QA, and weekly reviews into one verifiable Shopify operating system.

Lesson outline

  1. 1Freeze a theme copy and the observation conditions first
  2. 2Classify every candidate into four states
  3. 3Fill the theme/app audit sheet and confirm the owner
  4. 4Change one object at a time in the theme copy
  5. 5Replay the customer and data paths
  6. 6Trace residue through four lines and leave a recovery record

Public core framework

  • Do not start in the published theme. Record the theme copy, pages, product, device, market, recent change, and a three-observation plan for each page.
  • For each app or theme resource, decide whether it is installed, enabled, actually loaded, or suspected residue. An admin entry, an enabled setting, and a storefront request are different facts and cannot substitute for one another.
