What happened
The official Shopify Developer Changelog says the existing shopify-prefixed AI Toolkit skills are now consolidated into a single shopify skill.
The consolidated skill covers development and merchant workflows previously distributed across skills including shopify-dev-onboarding, shopify-admin, and shopify-functions.
Users may need to update their environment if they install or run AI Toolkit skills through agent environments with plugins, npx skills, or similar tools that install individual Shopify skills.
Shopify says many compatible agent environments update skills automatically; users of ucp and Dev MCP are unaffected by this change.
